Dear All,

1. Is it possible to start/stop SQLITENINGSERVER from a PB9 application ?

2. Does the start/stop  close SQLITENINGSERVER immediately or wait until all transactions in progress are finished - I would imaginge the former as a SELECT with a  volume of data returned may take a long time.?

3. The question in 2. leads to question as to whether stopping SQLITENINGSERVER , power cut on just server PC or across all PCs etc could leave a database corrupted ?

Best Regards,

Quote1. Is it possible to start/stop SQLITENINGSERVER from a PB9 application?
Yes, but only if the PB app is running on the server.  Check out the StopService rut in SQLiteningServerAdmin for a sample.  If there was demand for this, I could add command line parms to SQLiteningServerAdmin so other programs could run it.

Immediate

Quote3. Stopping SQLITENINGSERVER , power cut on just server PC or across all PCs etc could leave a database corrupted ?
Yes, but would be corrected/rollbacked on the next start.
