I like the fact that they are not abandoning Version 3. This will allow Version 4 to get some real world experience and fix and 'issues' that may develop. That being said though I have found SQLite to be one of the most reliable database systems I have every used.

SQLite4 does all numeric computations using decimal arithmetic. SQLite4 never uses C datatypes double or float (except in interface routines when converting between double and the internal decimal representation). Instead, all numeric values are represented internally as an 18-digit decimal number with a 3-digit base-10 exponent. ...

Not sure I like this.  If I understand correctly, most any value calculations/comparisons within a select statement is going to be done using decimal arithmetic even when integer processing would likely be faster (for integer data)?
